Roles & Opportunities

Belong to something bigger.

Life saving isn’t only about rescues. It takes a community to run a club, and your skills are just what we’re looking for. Admin, fundraising, first aid, radio operators, barbeque grill-master… the possibilities are endless!

Everyone at Dampier Surf Life Saving Club is a volunteer, there are no paid positions.

Roles are always available and range from weekly to infrequent. Many roles can be shared or split, so if you work away or have small kids, there are still positions suitable.

Please follow the link below to the club organizational chart, where you will find a description of the main roles and which ones are currently vacant. We aim to have two people for most roles, so that someone can be learning the ropes to ensure a seamless transition.

There are also weekly roles, like manning the bbq, age managing or beach setup, which can be volunteered for directly to the person responsible for that activity. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, our club is inclusive, we encourage participation, and we have roles to suit all abilities and interests.
